A fully responsive website and search engine marketing campaign for a prominent Highland estate


Balnagown Estates was purchased by the Egyptian businessman Mohammed Al Fayed in 1972. Since its initial purchase, the estates have benefited from an investment of nearly £20m and now spans close to sixty-five thousand acres of the Scottish Highlands.

Balnagown Estates comprises three separate estates, Balnagown, Invercassley & Duchally. There is a total of 9 properties available to let and each has its own special appeal.

The Balnagown philosophy is built around providing very high-quality properties and supporting this with outstanding levels of personal customer service. The estate is well known for its fully restored Scottish castle, however, the tourist accommodation offering was not meeting their expectations and it was recognised that change was required to improve the take up of the holiday accommodation.

Balnagown had an established web presence and brand.

Navertech were employed and worked in collaboration with branding and marketing specialists Hughes Consultancy.

The first step was to identify any issues with the existing marketing activities, including branding, website and brochure. It quickly became clear that a complete change in focus was required.

Once agreed, we contributed towards a revised Balnagown brand strategy and delivered a complete overhaul of the brochure and website, which included full Search Engine Optimisation and an aggressive Pay-per-click advertising campaign

Prominent sidebar which is used to promote other key items such as contact details, reviews, special offers and the promotional video.
Lower pods offer a graphical signpost to other key sections of the website, and importantly a prominent button for the online booking system
